The Sundome 6's interior is notably spacious, with a base that measures 12 feet by 10 feet and a center height of 72 inches--plenty of headroom for most people. In addition, the tent is engineered to keep you cool thanks to the adjustable Variflo ventilation and vented Cool-Air port. Best of all for travel-weary campers, the Sundome 6 sets up quickly, with two shock-corded steel poles, continuous pole sleeves, a pin-and-ring design, and InstaClip attachments. The tent even comes with a built-in LED ceiling light that runs for up to 22 hours on eight D batteries (not included). The light includes three settings: high, low, and nightlight.

About Coleman
More than 100 years ago, a young man with an entrepreneurial spirit and a better idea began manufacturing lanterns in Wichita, Kansas. His name was W.C. Coleman, and the company he founded would change life in America. A man plagued with such poor vision he sometimes had to ask classmates to read aloud to him, Coleman saw a brilliant light in 1900 in a drugstore window that stopped him in his tracks. He inquired about the light inside and discovered he was able to read even the small print on a medicine bottle by the illumination. The lamps had mantles, not wicks, and were fueled by gasoline under pressure instead of coal oil. Soon afterward, Coleman started a lighting service that offered a "no light, no pay" clause--a big step forward for merchants who were burned by inferior products that rarely worked--and drew substantial interest from businesses that wanted to keep their lights on after dark.
In the ensuing years, Coleman expanded its product line well beyond lanterns. The company's current catalog is thick with products that make spending time outdoors a pleasure. As with all the tent manufacturer's ratings, this tent might be rated to sleep more than two people, but if you plan to store any gear or use airbeds, two people is the magic number of occupants that can comfortably use the tent. The assembly is a piece of cake. We're in our 50's and hadn't assembled one of the newer style tents before purchasing this one. It takes about 10 minutes to assemble, once you've done it and see how things go. The canvas carry bag is nice, but there isn't any "extra" room in it. You'll have a little work folding things tight enough to get back in the bag, but it all does fit nicely once you figure out the best method. Pay attention to how everything is stored and folded when you first unpack the tent. Our first time out, we experienced severe storms with heavy rain and winds. Everything held perfectly water-tight. The lighting system is great for those 3 am excursions to the nearest tree. The 'hinged' door keeps you from zipping/unzipping each and every time through the door. It is worth while to buy a dozen heavy duty steaks rather than rely on the ones included. We withstood very high winds and rain - stayed dry and tight - no issues. After a dry run - it only takes 10 minutes to set up and about 15 mins to take down. Expandable case allows for less than perfect rolling-up and storage - quick and easy. We purchased this tent after much research, as we wanted a tent that both my husband and I can stand up in (we are both in the 6' range). This tent definitely provides that, but only at the center peak. We had a smaller Coleman, and the only issue I have with this one is that the longer poles to create the higher clearance leads to a steeper angle on the walls. The floor square footage is all sleepable if you are not on an air mattress... but add the mattress and you lose room for 6 people. My husband and I were very comfortable with just the two of us... plenty of room to store our bags and stand up to dress. Again... the angle of the side panels did take away from some of my excitement at this purchase though. The "automatic" rolling windows were nifty... but I wasn't that impressed with the hinged door.
